In the footsteps of The Baroque in Rome
Join author and art history communicator Kristine T. G. Hardeberg on an unforgettable journey to Rome, with a special focus on Baroque art and architecture. As always, Kristine will give short mini-lectures both at the hotel and out in the city. We will stay at a charming hotel right in the historic city center.
We will wander through Rome – The Eternal City, and enjoy wonderful local food and wine at carefully selected restaurants.
There will be magnificent art and architecture, and we will hear the stories behind these works. Kristine T. G. Hardeberg will offer daily mini-lectures on art history, as well as history and Italian culture.
We will be walking, not using public transport, to truly experience the city’s atmosphere.
You should therefore be in reasonably good physical condition to get the most out of this trip.

Temareiser Fredrikstad is a member of The Travel Guarantee Fund (Reisegarantifondet).
Booking and payment
All rates are quoted in Norwegian Kroner (NOK) per person and include taxes and VAT.
1. After booking, you will receive a confirmation and an invoice for the deposit: NOK 5 000.- per person, due within 10 days.
2. The due date for the final payment is no later than 65 days before the tour starts. You will find the correct due dates on the invoice.
At the invoice, you will get a link to credit card payments.
The booking is binding when the invoice is paid. An unpaid invoice is not acceptable as a form of cancellation. Cancellation must be made in writing to us.
When booking less than 30 days ahead of departure, the booking is binding at the time of booking, and the entire amount is to be paid immediately.
The travellers must always check that the invoice and travel documents are in accordance with the order. If discovered incorrectly, Temareiser Fredrikstad must be contacted immediately.
Acceptance
By paying the deposit/final amount the customer has accepted the general terms and conditions listed in this document, as a part of the agreement between Temareiser Fredrikstad and the customer.
Changes
Minor changes to the booking may be possible before the final payments, depending on the tour. Amendment fees, up to NOK 500,- per booking, may apply according to the requested changes.
An extra fee will e.g. occur by:
- splitting of the invoice
- change of dates
- change of room type
- all types of changes after the final amount has been paid

Kristine Hardeberg is an author, art historian and communicator of the art of living. She has spent many years in France and the United States, and shorter stays all over the world, but now lives in Norway.

The location is ideal for exploring Rome. The hotel is close to many of the city's most famous attractions, including the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain, and the Spanish Steps, all within walking distance. There are also good shopping options, restaurants, and cultural sites nearby.
Cancellation
An unpaid invoice is not acceptable as a form of cancellation. Cancellation must be made in writing to us.
General cancellation charges:
1. If cancelled up to 105 days ahead of departure Temareiser Fredrikstad retains a cancellation fee of NOK 1 000.- per person.
2. If cancelled from 104 - 65 days ahead of departure Temareiser Fredrikstad retains a cancellation fee corresponding to the deposit paid, NOK 5 000.- per person.
3. If cancelled from 64 - 40 days ahead of departure Temareiser Fredrikstad retains a cancellation fee of 50% of the full amount.
4. If cancelled later than 39 days ahead of departure or if the traveller does not show up at the start of the tour, the customer must pay the full amount (100%).
Diseases / Allergies
Travellers are responsible for their state of health so that they do not endanger themselves or their fellow travellers.
If you have any food allergies, like Celiac Disease, Lactose Intolerance etc. please make sure you communicate this to us before departure, so that we can inform the accommodations sites and restaurants.
Subject to changes/cancellation of a trip
- We reserve the right to change the prices in case of the introduction of new and/or unexpected regulations, like transportation costs and changes in public taxes etc. Price changes cannot happen later than 30 days before departure.
- There may also be minor adjustments in the day program.
- For tours with a guide, changes can be made due to delays, weather conditions, illness or other unforeseen events during the trip.
- Temareiser Fredrikstad can also increase the price or cancel the trip if the registered number of participants is less than 20. Information about this is provided by Temareiser Fredrikstad no later than 30 days before departure. Alternatively, the traveller will be offered another trip or receive a full refund of the amount paid.
- In case of force majeure, such as riots, floods, earthquakes, strikes etc. or route conditions that make it risky to complete the trip, the trip can be cancelled at short notice and the contract ceases to be binding for both parties (no refund).
Complaints
If the traveller has any complaints, he/she shall immediately inform our tourleader. If the problem is not rectified and you wish to complain after returning from the trip, you must send your complaint to Temareiser Fredrikstad in writing and state your grounds for complaining, not later than 4 weeks after the end of tour.
Data protection policy
We ask for personal information in the booking request section. This information is necessary to ensure that we are able to make and confirm your booking. This information will not be used for any other purposes and will not be shared with any other outside parties except for necessary information given to the parties involved in your booking (hotels etc.).
